Filescape - Latest Version: Beta 2

Filescape is a free, open-source file manager. This file manager is equipped with tabbed browsing, and many other features coming in furture versions. The icons used by Filescape are that of the Tango Desktop Project.

Filescape Beta 2 is equipped with a new main menu bar, where you can access application functions. Beta 2 also introduces the Filter, where you can narrow down the files that are displayed by their file name. For example, using a "*.txt" filter would only show text files. Another great feature is the new Favorites. This feature allows you to save a list of your favorite folders for easy access later. There is also another part of the favorites feature called Quick Text. This allows you to set a keyword for each favorite, and will then redirect you to the address of that favorite when you type the set Quick Text into the address bar. For example, if I set the Quick Text of my "My Documents" folder favorite to "MyDocs", whenever I type "MyDocs" into the address bar, Filescape will navigate to my "My Documents" folder.Another great feature is the Windows Integration. This when this option is enabled, an "Open In Filescape" item will appear when you right-click any folder. Once clicked, Filescape will open and avigate to that folder. I have also added an About box, and a Credits box, which gives credit where it's needed.

Please note that this software is in Beta stage. Not all of the program may be working, and there may be bugs. If you have any problems with the Beta version, please post on the Forums.
